反光膜，是一种已制成薄膜可直接应用的逆反射材料；利用玻璃珠技术，微棱镜技术、合成树脂技术，薄膜技术和涂敷技术和微复制技术制成；通常有白色、黄色、红色、绿色、蓝色、棕色、橙色、荧光黄色、荧光橙色、荧光黄绿色，国外还有荧光红色和荧光粉色。

Retroreflective film is a kind of retroreflective material which can be directly applied to the made film; it is made of glass bead technology, micro prism technology, synthetic resin technology, film technology, coating technology and micro replication technology; it usually has white, yellow, red, green, blue, brown, orange, fluorescent yellow, fluorescent orange, fluorescent yellow, fluorescent yellow green, and there are fluorescent red and Fluorescent Pink abroad 。

20世纪40年代开始，这种最初制造的反光膜，被冠以“工程级”反光薄膜，广泛开始用于道路交通标志。

Since the 1940s, this kind of reflective film, which was originally manufactured, has been called "engineering grade" reflective film, and has been widely used in road traffic signs.

国家交通设施产品反光膜标准是依据反光膜的反光性能、使用寿命将反光膜进行分类或是分级，原国标分为五个级别，新国标分为七类；主要用于交通设施产品中的标志牌、轮廓标、道钉、交通路锥、警示柱、防撞柱、百米桩、反光背心、车身贴等产品。新国标中的七种类型如下：

一类：工程级反光膜

Class I: engineering grade reflective film

通常为透镜埋入式玻璃珠型结构，称工程级反光膜。

Generally, it is a glass bead structure with lens embedded, which is called engineering grade reflective film.

寿命：使用寿命一般为7年，耐候性检测中的光度（逆反射系数）最大衰减度仍为不低于标准值的50%。

Service life: the service life is generally 7 years, and the maximum attenuation of luminosity (retroreflection coefficient) in weathering test is still no less than 50% of the standard value.    

用途：可用于永久性交通标志和作业区设施。（即类似原国标中的四级七年工程级反光膜，例如：国产通明TM7600系列工程膜、日本NCI EG-7系列等，原国标要求的四级反光膜耐候性是五年）。

Purpose: it can be used for permanent traffic signs and facilities in operation area. (that is to say, it is similar to the four-level seven-year engineering grade reflective film in the original national standard, such as the domestic tm7600 series engineering film, Japan NCI eg-7 series, etc. the weatherability of the four-level reflective film required by the original national standard is five years).

二类：超工程级反光膜

Class II: Super Engineering reflective film

通常为透镜埋入式玻璃珠型结构，称超工程级反光膜。

Generally, it is a glass bead structure with lens embedded, which is called super engineering reflective film.

寿命：使用寿命一般为10年，耐候性检测中的光度（逆反射系数）最大衰减度为不低于标准值的65%，原国标为80%，要求有所降低。

Service life: the service life is generally 10 years. The maximum attenuation of luminosity (retroreflection coefficient) in the weathering test is not less than 65% of the standard value, and the original national standard is 80%. The requirements are reduced.

用途：可用于永久性交通标志和作业区设施。（即类似原国标三级反光膜，例如：国产通明TM7800系列、日本NCI SEG18000系列等）。

Purpose: it can be used for permanent traffic signs and facilities in operation area. (i.e. similar to the original national standard three-level reflective film, such as domestic tm7800 series, Japan NCI seg18000 series, etc.).

三类：高强级反光膜

Class III: high strength reflective film

通常为密封胶囊式玻璃珠型结构，称高强级反光膜。

It is usually a sealed capsule glass bead structure, which is called high-strength reflective film.

寿命：使用寿命一般为10年，耐候性检测中的光度（逆反射系数）最大衰减度仍为不低于标准值的80%，要求没变。

Service life: the service life is generally 10 years, and the maximum attenuation of luminosity (retroreflection coefficient) in the weathering test is still no less than 80% of the standard value, which is not changed.

用途：可用于永久性交通标志和作业区设施。（即类似原国标二级反光膜，例如：国产通明TM1800系列、日本NCI F800系列等）。

Purpose: it can be used for permanent traffic signs and facilities in operation area. (i.e. similar to the original national standard secondary reflective film, such as domestic tm1800 series, Japan NCI F800 series, etc.).

四类：超强级反光膜

Class IV: Super reflective film

通常为微棱镜型结构，称超强级反光膜。

Generally, it is a micro prism structure, which is called super strong reflective film.

寿命：使用寿命一般为10年，耐候性检测中的光度（逆反射系数）最大衰减度仍为不低于标准值的80%，要求没变。

Service life: the service life is generally 10 years, and the maximum attenuation of luminosity (retroreflection coefficient) in the weathering test is still no less than 80% of the standard value, which is not changed.    

用途：可用于永久性交通标志、作业区设施和轮廓标。（即类似原国标二级反光膜，例如：美国3M 超强级3930系列、美国艾利特强级T-6500系列、城市高强级T-3500系列、日本 NCI水晶级R600系列等）。

Purpose: it can be used for permanent traffic signs, facilities in the operation area and delineators. (i.e. similar to the original national standard secondary reflective film, such as 3M super strong 3930 series, alite strong t-6500 series, urban high-strength t-3500 series, NCI crystal R600 series, etc.).

五类：大角度反光膜

Class V: large angle reflective film

通常为微棱镜型结构，大角度反光性能好，称大角度反光膜。

Generally, it is a micro prism structure with good performance of large angle reflection, which is called large angle reflection film.

寿命：使用寿命一般为10年，耐候性检测中的光度（逆反射系数）最大衰减度仍为不低于标准值的80%，要求没变。

Service life: the service life is generally 10 years, and the maximum attenuation of luminosity (retroreflection coefficient) in the weathering test is still no less than 80% of the standard value, which is not changed.

用途：可用于永久性交通标志、作业区设施和轮廓标。（即类似原国标一级反光膜，例如：美国3M 钻石级4090系列、美国艾利星光级T-7500系列、智能全棱镜膜T-11500系列等）。

Purpose: it can be used for permanent traffic signs, facilities in the operation area and delineators. (i.e. similar to the original national standard class I reflective film, such as 3M diamond class 4090 series, Allie star class t-7500 series, intelligent full prism film t-11500 series, etc.).

六类：金属镀层反光膜

Class VI: metal coating reflective film

这类膜是原国标中没有的，通常为有金属镀层的微棱镜结构，薄且软，易卷曲，防水性很好。

This kind of film is not in the original national standard. It is usually a micro prism structure with metal coating. It is thin and soft, easy to curl, and has good water resistance.

寿命：该类反光膜的反光性很高，使用寿命较短，一般为3年，耐候性检测中的光度（逆反射系数）最大衰减度为不低于标准值的50%。

Service life: this kind of reflective film has high reflectance and short service life, generally 3 years. The maximum attenuation of luminosity (reverse reflection coefficient) in weathering test is no less than 50% of the standard value.

用途：主要用于交通器材上，如警示柱、轮廓标等，也可作为施工区临时标志使用。此类膜有金属镀层时，白膜是灰色的，不可用于制作标志，其它颜色只要色品符合国标要求就可以制作临时性标志。目前国内市场上此类产品不多见（例如：美国瑞飞CXP系列等）。

Purpose: mainly used on traffic equipment, such as warning post, contour mark, etc., and also used as temporary sign in construction area. When this kind of film has metal coating, the white film is gray and cannot be used to make signs. Other colors can make temporary signs as long as the color meets the requirements of the national standard. At present, such products are rare in the domestic market (for example, the CXP series of American Ruifei, etc.).

七类：反光晶格反光膜

Class 7: reflective lattice reflective film

这类膜也是原国标中没有的，通常用材质柔软、具有一定耐候性的塑料制成，微棱镜结构，俗称反光晶格。特点是轻薄柔软易卷曲，反光性较高，价格便宜，耐候性较差。

This kind of film is also not in the original national standard. It is usually made of plastic with soft material and certain weather resistance. It has micro prism structure, commonly known as reflective lattice. It is characterized by light, soft and curly, high reflective, low price and poor weather resistance.

寿命：一般使用寿命为3年，耐候性检测中的光度（逆反射系数）最大衰减度为不低于标准值的50%。

Service life: the general service life is 3 years, and the maximum attenuation of luminosity (retroreflection coefficient) in weathering test is not less than 50% of the standard value.

用途：这类膜主要用于临时性标志和施工区域标志，国内常用于制作反光交通锥套和反光广告牌底膜等（例如：美国瑞飞、3M、艾利和国产的布基反光晶格类材料）。

Purpose: this kind of film is mainly used for temporary signs and construction area signs. It is commonly used to make reflective traffic cone cover and reflective advertising board bottom film in China (for example: cloth based reflective lattice materials made by Ruifei, 3M and iRiver in the United States).
